Meadowcroft Cabernet Sauvignon
Despite unpredictable weather, the 2019 vintage was a perfect "storm" of growing conditions in the Napa Valley. Our 2019 Napa Cabernet is true to vintage, showcasing stellar fruit concentration, ample acidity, and depth. Upfront aromatics offer suggestions of boysenberry jam, elderberry, plum, anise seed, and vanilla bean. The mouthfeel is smooth despite the firm tannins, and the finish is extended and laden with cocoa, black pepper, and leather. This is sure to improve with age; best now through 2029.
Meadowcroft Cabernet Sauvignon
Perched at the top of Mount Veeder in Napa Valley, this high elevation vineyard is the sole source of cabernet sauvignon for this densely rich and concentrated, full-bodied wine. Aromas of dark chocolate and ripe mountain blueberry explode in tones of black currant, sage, and exotic black pepper. The palate offers a smooth and tingling in acidity, yet also shows length and breadth. This wine will be best enjoyed now through 2030.
Meadowcroft Cabernet Sauvignon
Sourced from 50-year-old family-owned vineyards on the eastern slopes of Spring Mountain, this 2018 vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon has a refined elegance. Opening with an abundance of blackberry jam, candied violets, crushed earth, and currants, this youthful Cabernet suggests unquestionable aging potential but is delicious now. The mouthfeel is pure satin, laced with mocha and plum. Tannins are firm but exist mainly on the back palate, framed by subtle spice. This wine is a quintessential California mountain cabernet, reflecting the artistry and tradition of old-world winemaking.
Vibrantly aromtic, our 2020 vintage of our Napa Valley Carneros Chardonnay displays multifaceted layers of Meyer Lemon Zest, juicy apple and floral jasmine. The palate features well intigrated flavors of tangerine, melon and toasted almonds. The finish is clean but concentrated, with touches of lemon curd, and crème brûlée. This wine will pair seamlessly with any seafood or roasted poultry with butter and brown-butter sauces. This wine would also complement savory crab cakes, the richness of cheeses like Camembert or Gruyère, or even the subtle flavors of grilled vegetable like asparagus or zucchini.
The name Cru de la Ruche, meaning vintage of the beehive, is a nod to our connection to the honeybee and its amazing ability to transform nectar into honey paralleling the transformation from grapes to wine.
This wine is saturated with dark fruit aromas and flavors of brambly blackberry and blueberry, accented by herbaceous secondary notes of leather and tobacco. Pleasantly viscous, with complex layers and grippy tannins . Expect a dancing acidity, with a rich mouthfeel and spicy oaked finish that lingers.
Meadowcroft Old Vine Zinfandel
Limited production zinfandel from old vines in the Sierra Foothills of Amador County.
This rich, concentrated wine presents elegantly, evolving in the glass. Upfront aromatics of raspberry and anise. Secondary notes Luxardo cherries and freshly ground nutmeg develop into flavors of cherry eau de vie kirsch, caramel, and pink peppercorns. This extremely versatile wine exhibits polished tannins and a juicy backbone.
Meadowcroft Pinot Blanc
Our first Pinot Blanc produced, this wine evokes the French wine-growing region of Alsace, where Pinot Blanc is cultivated for its creamy, fragrant properties. Our Pinot Blanc has lively grapefruit, apple, melon, and quince notes that evolve into a floral and mineral finish laced with marzipan. Crisp, refreshing, and deliciously unique, this wine is a superb addition to any occasion. Pinot Blanc is an easy match with egg dishes like quiche, making it a wonderful choice for brunch. Try this wine with soft cheeses, salads with creamy dressings and flaky fish like salmon and trout.
Meadowcroft Pinot Noir
Soft and elegant, this aromatic wine opens on the nose with a dollop of red cherry fruit, framed by floral notes and delicate spice undertones. The mouthfeel is defined by grace and is beautifully balanced, with flavors of raspberry, cranberries, and sandalwood. the finish is refined and extended. Since this wine as such a bright acidity, it is easily matched with a variety of dishes. We think it's perfect with mushrooms, poultry, game meats, or a simple grazing board with cheese and charcuterie.
Meadowcroft River Trace Blend
This blend of syrah, grenache, and mourvèdre shows both earthiness and red currant on the nose. It’s very smooth on the palate with well-integrated flavors black plum, dried cherry and subtle notes of rich porcini mushrooms. The plush tannins lingers with full-bodied ripeness and minerality. Rich dishes such as braised beef with demiglaze reduction, grilled spice rubbed flat iron steak, braised lamb with potatoes are all a great match for this full bodied wine. Or just enjoy this wine on its own.
Meadowcroft Rosé of Pinot Noir
Elegant and refined, this vibrant wine features aromas of stone fruit, ripe strawberries, and English Roses. The palate is driven by fresh grapefruit citrus, lush red berries, and watermelon. This delightfully fruity and delicate wine, with a refreshing and bright finish, evokes the spirit of traditional Provence rosés.
Originally grown in the Rhone wine region of France, Roussanne is a primary component in the white wines of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Roussanne drinks very well as a young wine but will develop more complexity and depth if aged 7-8 years.
A spirited wine, with lush fruit notes of white peach and apricot bolstered by honeycomb and orange blossom. The palate is medium, with prominent structure and youthful acidity. The finish is laced with subtle spice and delicious flavors of lemon meringue and vanilla custard, ending in a mineral-driven, lengthy finale.
